A Chinese famille-rose 'Lotus' bowl, Shendetang Zhi four-character iron red mark, Daoguang period (1821-1850). The exterior is decorated with stylised lotus scrolls, the interior centre is with a floral medallion enclosed within a border of ruyi emblems repeated at the inner rim and foot. With an old fitted box. An almost identical bowl and two smaller sized examples (13.5 and 11.5 cm diameter), see porcelains with inscription of Shendetang: collected by the Palace Museum, no. 44, pp188-195. 17.5 cm diameter, Porvenance an old private collection, Taiwan.
