Van Cleef & Arpels rare 18ct gold, ruby and diamond 'Starburst' necklace, circa 1960, composed of a line of geometric links centring an oval cabochon ruby weighing 26.62 carats, framed by a cluster of brilliant-cut diamonds flanked to the sides at intervals by similarly set stones, the diamonds together weighing approximately 8.00 carats, gross weight approximately 175 grams, inner circumference 440 mm, maker's marks, signed Vca for van Cleef & Arpels. Accompanied by a GIA report numbered 6234279391, dated 17 May 2024, stating that the 26.62 carat ruby is natural, with no indications of heating, of Kenya origin.
