Aboriginal artist unknown. Four fine and early carved hardwood message sticks (1) carved hardwood, with interlocking designs to one side, smooth on the reverse 36 cm. (2) carved hardwood, with interlocking designs to one side, zig zag pattern on the reverse 30 cm. (3) intricately carved hardwood, oblongs and parallel track designs over a fine fluting to one side, and a hewn-smooth surface to the reverse. 41 cm. (4) carved hardwood, with concentric circles and zig zag designs to both sides. 19 cm (x 4)
