An early Victorian sterling silver and silver plate chafing dish, apparently with Royal Provenance, the cover by Robert Garrard II, London, 1844, the probably-associated silver plate base of similar period, of lobed circular outline, the cover with a finial of a crown on a cushion, the base with a pair of handles and standing on four foliate scrolling feet, a mount for a burner to its interior, the cover engraved to one side with the combined coats of arms of Edward and Victoria, Duke and Duchess of Kent and Strathearn (Queen Victoria's parents) and to the opposing side with a monogram V beneath a crown (lacking interior dish and fittings), overall 24 cm high, 34 cm wide, across the handles (the cover alone 15.5 cm high, 24 cm diameter), the cover 954g
