Good vintage Malay hand made silver buckle intricate hand decorated oval shaped buckle, with separate silver backing plate, maker's marks to base, diameter 14.5 cm approx; weight 158grams Other Notes: This buckle formed part of a Malay Gentleman's ceremonial dress and the lotus, fan, fishes, conch and other objects portrayed are some of the eight Buddhist and eight Taoist symbols, and are indicative of the Chinese fine arts.
