Includes 2 first edition volumes of Hal Richardson 'One man war: the Jock McLaren Story', A&R 1957, Adelaide, both hardcovers with illustrated endpapers, one with illustrated dust wrapper; 1958 first hardcover edition of 'On the Beach' by Neville Shute, Heinemann London, dust wrapper illustration by John Rowland. Nb: on the beach was made into a film with Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, Fred Astaire & Anthony Perkins in 1959; a T.E. Lawrence 'Revolt in the Desert', Folio Society 2006, hardcover in slip case; and Jerome Carcopino 'Daily life in ancient Rowe', Folio Society 2004, edited by Henry Rowell, translated to English by E.O.
