A monumental carved wood panel ' The Lute Player' by C. Parker, depicting Allyn a'Dale one of Robin Hood's 'Merry Men' of Sherwood Forest. 120 x 367 cm. The artist noted as ex Elam School of Fine Arts. Sherwood Motor Inn in Palmerston North commissioned the large wall sculpture in the 1960's to decorate the main building. Provenance: The collection of John and Valerie Robertson, Auckland.
