A Dutch marquetry bombe bureau, the cylinder top opens by pulling out the writing desk top, the interior with small drawers and pigeon holes, the base with three full width drawers, ormolu detail, raised on sabot feet. The marquetry decoration of flowers, leafy branches and birds. 150 x 108 x 61 cm. Provenance: The collection of John and Valerie Robertson, Auckland. Ex Fernside, Wairarapa.
