3rd Class order of the Liberation, People's Republic of China(1950-1955), the order of the Liberation medal is a medal awarded by the government of the People's Republic of China to military personnel. It was the third level in the early military honour system of China. It was decided by the standing Committee of the National People's Congress and awarded by the Chairman of the People's Republic of China. It was first used in 1955 and has since ceased to be awarded. It was awarded to members of the People's Liberation army and civilian personnel, as well as former members of the Republic of China's National army who participated in uprisings. It was awarded to individuals who served in the People's Liberation army for more than two years during the Liberation war period (September 3, 1945, to June 30, 1950) without significant misconduct. The third level Liberation medal was awarded to personnel who served at the level of a regiment, battalion, or equivalent cadre during this period.
