A rare Ding-Type persimmon-glazed dish, Northern Song Dynasty, 11th-12th century, the dish features a thin construction with a flat base that extends into flared sides. It is coated in a glossy rust-brown glaze that becomes lighter at the rim. This piece bears similarity to one featured in Christie's Hong Kong 'The classic age of Chinese ceramics - the Linyushanren collection, part I,' lot 2819, 12.4 cm diameter.
