An extremely rare Yue celadon lotus stand, five Dynasties (907-960), an extremely rare Yue celadon lotus stand from the five Dynasties period (907-960). This exquisite piece is carved in relief with a band of overlapping lotus petals and is supported on a splayed foot. The stand is covered overall with a glaze of greenish-olive tone, characteristic of Yue ware's refined aesthetic. Likely to be used in Buddhist ritual events, this stand is a very significant example representing Buddhist culture at the time, 5 cm high 8 cm diameter.
