A Lushan phosphatic-splashed black glazed ewer, Tang Dynasty (618-907), the tapering body is set on the shoulder with a short conical spout and strap handle. The ewer is covered with a dark brown/black glaze highlighted by splashes of milky, pale blue and buff tone on the body, the shoulder and on the interior of the flaring mouth,, height 25.2 cm W:16.5.
