A rare Cizhou-Type white glazed lobed ewer, Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), property from the Walter Hochstadter Collection. A rare white glazed lobed ewer, Northern Song Dynasty. The body is potted with six vertical lobes. Strap handle, straight ring foot and with a long, curving spout. The ewer is covered with a white slip under a transparent glaze that ends above the foot, exposing the grey earth. 14 cm diameter, 29.5 cm high, 14 x 29.5 high cm.
