A small carved white marble head of Buddha, Northern Qi Dynasty, (550-577), the face is smoothly and broadly shaped, featuring a finely carved, delicate, sensitive mouth and gently rounded eyelids beneath elegantly arched, well-defined eyebrows. Both the hair and the rounded ushnisha are left unadorned and smooth, 4.4 cm high
