An exceptional Imperial blue and white 'Lotus' vase, Qianlong mark and of the period, Qianlong period, Qing Dynasty, (1736-1795), Qianlong six-character seal mark in underglaze blue and of the period (1736-1795), the vase features vibrant paintings of a lotus scroll band and a combination of floral scrolls. Below are cresting waves, and above are stylized plantain leaves around the narrowed neck, separated by raised double-moulded line borders. On the shoulder are two animal mask ring handles in relief, while stylized lappets surround the spreading foot. The mouth rim is adorned with a narrow band of waves, 25.5 cm high 18 cm diameter.
