A mahogany longcase clock by Cowan of Canongate, circa 1810, the well carved and pierced hood with pinecone finials housing a brass break arch dial with silver chapter ring and subsidiary seconds, quarter striking on eight bells and hour striking on a single bell, anchor escapement and weight driven, the trunk with a shaped panel above an extended base above bracket feet, 259 cm high, 54 cm wide, 25 cm deep
