A large Chinese very finely cast bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, Ming, 17th century, seated in vairasana, his hands in dhyana mudra, a swastika on his chest and the ushnisha rising from a head of tightly curled hair, his robes finely detailed at the borders, the whole with evidence of original gilt and polychrome.
