Superb, Royal quality, north Indian Kyber knife : excellent single edged wootz blade with gold Islamic prayers inlaid to back edge, translated to Ahmad (the Prophet) (there is one God); a blessing on the reverse side of blade inscribed My life is in Gods hands; the ferrule, back piece & tang inlaid in gold with birds, flowers & Islamic script; very good ivory hilt; no scabbard. A great pierce. Circa late 1700.
