Japanese army officers Shin-Gunto: 27 ½' excellent blade with clear harmon line; cat scratches to habaki, standard brass military tsuba & hilt fittings; cotton hilt binding over same hilt fittings; floral Menuko & pommel decorations; complete with sword knot & original VG metal scabbard with a war-period painted inscription John Elliot 6th division 2/2A I.F. 1945 forward Scout Aitapi N.G.; hilt has bullet damage to hilt binding. A great piece of history.
