An Assembled George III sterling silver chafing dish, 1767 London, with maker's mark for William Grundy (dish and cover) 1776 London, with maker's mark for Thomas Heming (burner), the circular dish and cover flanked by loop handles with a gadrooned everted rim, the domed cover with stepped finial with date mark underside, the dish marked to the exterior and both handles, resting on a tripod stand of band form with a central spirit burner support and raised on three scroll legs with scroll leaf feet, the dish and cover engraved with armorial within floral cartouche, the spirit burner and stand engraved with conforming arms, the stand unmarked but tested .925 silver. 1581g height 22.5 cm, diameter: 26.5 cm
