A Grand Tour bronze figure of an athlete, Italy, 19th century, the fine 'Grand Tour' bronze figure of a young athlete on a rectangular base, with fine patination. One of the two known as the 'Herculaneum Runners' or Corridori d'Ercolano, after the original excavated in 1754 at the Villa of the Papyri in Herculaneum, now kept at the Naples Archeological Museum.
