An early 19th century sterling silver dish on plated stand, the dish with maker's mark of Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard, London, 1824, the plain rectangular dish with bold gadroon border stepped domed hinged lid with reeded looped handle on a leaf flange, two scroll supports to the turned bone handles, a chain to hold open the lid, and filling aperture for the water reservoir incorporated into gadrooned rim at one end, the plated stand with matching gadroon rim on four scroll legs with shell feet and supporting a frame to hold the tureen, dish 1532gms (with handles), dish and stand 21 cm high
