A 19th century Chinese hardwood breakfront two section display sideboard, finely carved framing, the top with four astragal glazed doors enclosing fitted shelves, the conforming base with three drawers above four pierced cupboard doors. Raised on shishi carved feet. 138.5 x 41 x 198.5 cm. Provenance: Ex. the estate collection of Dr David (Auckland) & M Stephens. Based in Singapore c.1956 - 1975. David was a passionate and knowledgeable collector of jade, porcelain and Chinese items. He was a member of the South East Asian Ceramic Society.
