A Spode porcelain blue and gilt tulip shaped cup, English circa 1810, 6.5 cm high base 5 cm wide, Bought as probably Spode Stockspring Antiques 2000. A tulip stand appears in the Spode 1820 shape book reproduced by Leonard Whiter, Spode 1970 p.115 and a tulip cup is illustrated at colour plate VIII.
