A rare and fine Chelsea triple stopper perfume bottle, in the form of three partridges, English circa 1750, 7.2 cm high 5 cm wide. Provenance: Tusmore Antiques Adelaide 2017 as St James factory. Reference: Tulman, Ars Ceramica, 2019, no. 31, p. 73, fig. 9 for a similar example of hens not partridges. An example in the Salting Collection is illustrated in G. E. Bryant, The Chelsea Porcelain Toys, London, 1925, pl. 3, fig. 4.; and a second was in the Collection of Stewart Grainger, sold, Christie's London, May 20, 1963, lot 87.
