An exceptional, 19.00ct tanzanite / 2.68ct diamond cocktail ring in yellow gold / platinum. This modern ring features a corner double claw set, cushion cut, medium-dark bright slightly violet / blue tanzanite of estimated weight 19.00cts, accented by fourteen scalloped bezel set, round brilliant cut diamonds of reported total weight 2.68cts, F - G colour, SI clarity. Finished weight 20.01 grams. Ring size Q. 2024 certificate copy supplied. Tanzanite was discovered in 1967 in the Merelani hills near mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Tanzanite is only found in a small area of Tanzania, making it one of the rarest gemstones and highly prized, tanzanite is a variety of the mineral zoisite and owes its blue colour to the presence of vanadium. Most tanzanite gemstones undergo heat treatment to enhance their colour, changing from brownish hues to the desired blue-violet shades, it is believed to promote spiritual healing, enhance intuition, and bring tranquillity.
