A fabulous pair of 19th century Italian carved fruitwood Blackamoor figures, both nude figures standing in exact opposing poses holding a cornucopia in one arm with the other across their body and one foot in front of the other with a removable acanthus leaf covering the genitals standing on rocky plinth pedestals with scrolling acanthus leaf decoration, showing every muscle and with traces of the original painted decoration (2), 55 cm wide, 54 cm deep, 188 cm high Provenance: Acquired by the current owner upon purchasing William Tishman's Hancock Park home in Los Angeles.
