Extremely rare and important set of four 17th century East India Orissa ivory Royal throne legs, each one superbly carved with Royal warrior on rearing horse with shield on back and weapon in hand, the facial features proclaims his devotion to Vishnu. The tops displaying mythical creature and below hunting scences. Note: similar the Met Museum, New York, Accession number: 2022.345. Met Museum only has a single leg, we believe that this is first time in history that a set of four ivory Royal throne legs has come to auction.
