William H. Bardwell (1836 - 1929), Ballarat from the town hall, 1872, large format albumen paper print laid down on card, image 23 x 36 cm (note flaw in plate at lower left). This is the first frame of Bardwell's monumental 11-panel panorama of Ballarat, but in much larger format. The complete panorama was exhibited at the 1873 London international exhibition.
