An Eric Ravilious for Wedgwood mug, commemorating the Coronation of Elizabeth II, 1953, a large scale earthenware mug with cream body, transfer-printed in black with hand coloured yellow and pink washes, the design incorporating the Royal cypher and date beneath fireworks, Wedgwood and commemorative script underside, painted pattern number, 10.5 cm high, note, this mug posthumously reprises an Eric Ravilious design originally created for souvenir mugs commemorating the Coronation of Edward VIII in 1937
