A pair of old Chinese carved wood shishi, finely decorated in classical form, the opposing lion dogs with open mouths and amber glass eyes and bone teeth, one with pierced ball the other with pup. Each raised on a rectangular stand with scroll frieze and bracket feet. Signed with character marks to the base. 21.5 x 11.5 x 18 cm.
