Three old Chinese jade belt fastenings/adornments, the largest of pale tones with restrained carved decoration to the front. Length 3.7 cm. Another tapered with two small suspension holes to the top, pale and dark red tones and a ring form piece carved as a looping dragon, mid green tone. Provenance: Ex. the estate collection of Dr David (Auckland) & M Stephens. Based in Singapore circa 1956 - 1975. David was a passionate and knowledgeable collector of jade, porcelain and Chinese items. He was a member of the South East Asian Ceramic Society.
