A large rare 1725 'Psalterium Romanum' (Book of Psalms), published by Thomas von Collen & Joseph Huisch, Cologne (Coloniae Agrippinae). pp.728 + 64 + additions. Text and musical notations printed in red and black. Full vellum cover with brass corners, centrepiece and clasps. Later replacement paragraphs (over the top of originals) and additional text. Foxing, tears and losses commensurate with age. 31 x 49 x 10 cm. Note: The Latin Psalters were Latin translations of the Book of Psalms arranged in order to be prayed at certain hours of the day.
