Two Ko Imari blue and white large dishes, Edo period, circa 1680, the first an Arita 'Kraak' style charger with a deep well and wide everted rim, painted in dark, underglaze cobalt blue with fruiting pomegranates and Buddha's hand citrons in the well. The second a circular porcelain charger with a deep well and wide everted rim, painted in fine underglaze cobalt blue in hanakago-de (flower pot style), with bamboo, pine and prunus. 31.7 cm and 33 cm
