A Scottish George III mahogany Long-Case clock, the dial signed a. Paterson, Leith, early 19th century, eight day movement, anchor escapement, weight driven with bell strike. The black and white enamelled Roman dial with subsidiary dials behind a glazed cover with brass bezel in a case with an arched top with brass ball finial above the trunk with fluted quarter-columns on a tall plinth base with bracket feet, the front of the case inlaid with contrasting panels of figured mahogany, holly stringing throughout. 221 cm high, 47 cm wide, 23 cm deep
