A 19th century Continental walnut secretaire on stand, frieze drawer, the interior with traditional pigeonholes and small drawers the front of which in burr walnut veneer, one full width drawer over two quarter drawers, brass swan neck handles and pierced backplates and keyhole escutcheons, the dropdown front and drawer fronts with oyster cut veneer, shaped apron, raised on barley twist legs, scrolling stretcher base with small oval shelf to the centre. (Evidence of borer). 90 x 37.5 x 144 cm.
