A 19th century Austrian Beidermeir secretaire, with domed top and a single drawer above a fall front, the interior fitted as an architectural gallery with mirrors and painted decoration, seven drawers, two cupboards and a secret compartment, three drawers below; pressed brass ring handles with cameo portraits of reining monarchs, the whole composed of burl walnut, and other inlaid timbers, circa 1825. Height 184 cm, width 115 cm. Depth 54 cm.
