A 19th century Continental silver tankard, the tapering cylindrical body embossed with strap work and beaded borders, monogrammed 'Vm', with lion mask and acanthus scroll and hinged domed lid and crown finial and scrolling thumbpiece, all raised on four scroll feet, gilt interior, marked 800M, possibly Dutch or German. Height 28 cm. Weight 534.7 gm.
