A Kerr & Binns Worcester porcelain vase, circa 1860, the decoration by James Callowhill, of baluster shape on a square foot with tall loop handles to the shoulders and sides, white ground with coloured enamel and gilt decoration throughout, the front with a gilt-framed portrait of Anthony van Dyck surrounded by scrolling foliage, a conforming foliate design to the reverse, signed by Callowhill with initials to the inner surface of one handle, unmarked as to manufacture, 18 cm high. Condition: minor Scratches, lacking lid, some glaze staining and crazing., inspection under Uv light presents restoration to centre of the vase (in the area of the portrait)
