A Kerr & Binns Worcester porcelain vase, dated 1858, the enamel decoration attributed to Thomas Bott, Snr, of flattened bottle shape on a spreading elliptical foot, a pair of gilt satyr masks to the shoulders, white ground with fine raised gilt details, the front of decorated with a gilt-framed cartouche enclosing a portrait of the poetess Felicia Hemans, identified both in an inscription in the gilt frame below and in a gilt vignette to the reverse, printed black shield factory mark underside incorporating the date mark, 15 cm high. Condition: crack restored with associated hairline crack. Wear to painted portrait with some overpainting.
