An unusual Kerr & Binns Worcester porcelain plate on feet, dated 1853, the decoration attributed to Luke Wells, Snr, of barbed circular outline raised on three silvered supports modelled as sea-gryphons couchant, their tails meeting at the centre of the underside, the well decorated with a courting couple in a landscape after or in the manner of Jean-Antoine Watteau within alternating pink, white and gilt borders, printed factory mark underside, 4.5 cm high, 24.5 cm diameter.
