An impressive Royal Worcester porcelain banquet oil lamp, shape 1354, dated cipher for 1893, of classical torchere form, the etched cranberry glass shade enclosing the Hinks & Son brass burner in a vase shaped bowl atop a baluster stem raised on a triangular base on hoof feet, modelled with various grotesque masks, foliage, and other classical motifs, matt glazed in ivory with the moulded decoration in terra cotta and brown, gilt details throughout, printed factory marks underside, 88 cm high including shade (but excluding the chimney).
