A Loom woven Ikat, Sumba, Early-mid 20th century. With red and black alternating sections, with varying motifs. There is a long fringe to both ends. The fabric itself is made entirely from plants, the cotton is sourced locally and the colours are created from leaves and roots. Height 28 cm cm, width 168 cm
