A 1920s kimono, Japan, Taisho period. Kimono with soft geometric design of square and triangles in black, red and grey. Meisen is a type of casual kimono and became popular for everyday wear during the first half of the twentieth century, because meisen fabric was both inexpensive and long-lasting. These garments were mass-produced from plain-weave raw silk, and later rayon. . Length 138 cm, width 113 cm
