A pair of famille rose 'Paired-Birds' floor vases, bearing Qianlong seal mark, 20th century each with a baluster body painted in a continuous scene with paired birds flying and standing amidst rockwork, peony branches and water, including phoenix, fenghuang, mandarin ducks, woodpeckers, swallows, quails and other birds between ruyi-head and lappet bands in turquoise, pink and yellow, with applied lion handles to the neck, and an iron-red apocryphal Qianlong seal mark to the underside.
