Description:
A rare Royal Doulton 'Chinese Jade' large lamp base, by Charles Noke and Harry Nixon, c1930, of spherical form, moulded in relief with swirling stems of floral buds, traditional green veined glazed highlights on the white ground. Painted and printed marks, signature and initials to the base, height 21.5 cm. Hairline crack to the base. No fittings. Note: a similar lamp base was included in the Courier post New Zealand Royal Doulton exhibition 1992-93.
