The Queen's South Africa medal with clasps for cape Colony, orange free state, and Transvaal; named to 4358 L. Corpl. G. Murray. 14th Hussars.The 14th (King's) Hussars took part in all the battles leading up to the relief of Ladysmith (Sept.1900). They were part of general Sir Redvers Buller's army that forced Louis Botha's Boers to lift their siege of the town.
