Two antique Malaysian silver tobacco boxes (Chelpa) of broadly spherical form with a shaped apron with scalloped edge. The domed sides with chased and repousse decoration of trailing foliage centred with a leafy fluted rosette, all edged with a quatrefoil border. One side with a hinged clasp, releasing the hinged lid, each with a serrated locking pin. Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, late 19th/early 20th century. 9 x 7 cm and 8.5 x 6.5 cm, 151 grams and 112 grams.
