A very fine and rare Worcester porcelain turquoise and gilt edged shaped circular plate, from the Duke of Gloucester service, painted with fruit, insects and butterflies. English circa 1768/70, gilt crescent mark. Provenance: Robert Burke collection no 59. This service was by repute made for William Henry Duke of Gloucester (1753-1805) third son of Frederick, Prince of Wales and brother of George III.
