A fine and rare Worcester porcelain pink, blue and purple bordered and finely gilt lobed-oval dish, from the Mrs Arthur James Service, painted with exotic birds in landscape and insects. English circa 1775/8, unmarked. Provenance: Albert Amor Ltd London 10/02/2020 (7000 pounds). Robert Burke collection. Exhibited: Dyson Perrins Exhibition 1995 no 139 Dreweatt Neate England. Reference: A plate from this service exhibited at Albert Amor Ltd London Worcester Porcelain 1751-1784 cat.no.77 where they stated it is believed that only one dessert service was made in this lavish pattern.
